Reproduction (Managing Scanned Ewes) workshop

These ½ day workshops focus on the management of pregnant ewes and give a good overview of joining, pregnancy and lactation as well as an introduction to some practical tools and skills. For those producers who have pregnancy scanned their ewes these workshops will help them get the most out of their scanned ewes. The workshops include some theory and practical hands-on sessions.

These workshops are an opportunity to discuss options for improving the reproductive performance of your flock. You will take away the practical skills needed to ensure optimum lamb survival by better management of scanned ewes in your flock.

These workshops will assist you with:

  • Scanning and ewe management recommendations
  • Managing single and twin bearing ewes
  • Management targets
  • Maternal behaviour
  • Target fat scores during pregnancy

 

Morning tea and a light lunch will be provided. Please bring a hat and sunscreen.
